ANIMAL TRAPS POLICY

In line with our commitment to animal welfare, the sale of certain trapping equipment is restricted on our platform. 

Policy Guidelines

• All trap listings must clearly state the size of the trap being sold 

• Bear traps are not permitted for sale on PatriotBuySell 

• Leghold traps featuring toothed jaws are not permitted for sale on PatriotBuySell 

• Steel jaw leghold traps with a jaw spread of 5½ inches or more are only permitted if they have offset jaws 

PBS reserves the right to take action when a listing, image, or account violates this policy. Actions may include:

• Removal of listings or content 

• Seller warnings 

• Temporary selling restrictions 

• Permanent account suspension 

• Other actions required by law or the PBS User Agreement 

Why We Have This Policy

PatriotBuySell is committed to promoting responsible commerce and supporting animal welfare. Certain types of animal traps may cause unnecessary harm or pose significant risks to wildlife. To help maintain a safe and ethical marketplace, the sale of specific trap types is restricted or prohibited.
